Microsoft Access Northwind Traders Client/Server Demos
For these demos, the MS-Access Northwind Traders sample database has been converted to Microsoft SQL Server including all Access queries. The converted objects have been integrated into the client-side applications. Both the database and .mde files reside at an ISP on a shared server.
Before you can run these demos you must have Microsoft Access 2000 or later, and a SQL Server ODBC driver installed. Since the demos use ODBC, some fire walls and proxy servers will prevent access to the SQL Server database.
These applications provide you with unrestricted privileges. We encourage you to make database changes (inserts/updates/deletes). No worries, data is refreshed periodically.
When the "File Download - Security Warning" window is dislayed, choose the Save option and after the download is complete, click Open File.
Demo #1: Secured Northwind Traders Client/Server Application
For this demo, the client-side application has been "locked-down" as described in the Microsoft Access Applications and Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance white paper.
Enter user-id: sox and password: demo when prompted by the Login form.

Demo #2: Northwind Traders Client/Server Application
This application exposes the Access Database Window, which will allow you to view and operate additional Forms, Reports, and Queries.
