Ad-Hoc Queries

Choose the SQL Server  Query Facility item from the Tools menu or by right-clicking to display shortcut  menu.

Use this menu to pass hand-coded SQL or to convert MS-Access queries to SQL Server for processing.

Hand-Coded SQL Example

Use this menu to execute SQL Server SQL statements.

To execute a query, type (or paste) the SQL into the text box and click the icon or press Alt-g. The SQL is sent to Oracle for processing. If the query returns records, a standard access data sheet is displayed. Returned records are not modifiable. You can simultaneously display the results of as many queries as system resources permit.
