Naming Rules for Keys and Indexes

Use this page to define naming rules for Primary and Unique keys and Indexes generated by Scriptoria.

Primary Keys

Define naming rules for primary keys by supplying a prefix and/or suffix to either the MS-Access table or index name. You can define different prefixes and/or suffixes for primary keys depending on whether they are CLUSTERED or NONCLUSTERED (see Storage Assignments).

Unique Keys

Define naming rules for unique keys by supplying a prefix and/or suffix to either the MS-Access table or index name. You can define different prefixes and/or suffixes for unique keys depending on whether they are CLUSTERED or NONCLUSTERED. Since there can be more than one unique key per table, Scriptoria assigns a unique numbered sequence at the end of the unique key name.

Indexes

Define naming rules for indexes by supplying a prefix and/or suffix to either the MS-Access table or index name. You can define different prefixes and/or suffixes for indexes depending on whether they are CLUSTERED or NONCLUSTERED. Since there can be more than one index per table, Scriptoria assigns a unique numbered sequence at the end of the index name.
