DB2 Version Dependent Names

Scriptoria assigns valid DB2 names  to tables, columns, indexes, foreign key constraints and triggers  as they are encountered when generating DB2 data definition language.

After connecting to the selected DB2 database, Scriptoria checks the DB2 release version. Scriptoria detects when the current Access database has been assigned names for a different version of DB2. When this occurs, the user is prompted to rename the existing names so they are compatible with the DB2 version of the currently selected database. Remember DB2 version 5.x limits table and column lengths to 18 characters, where in version 6.x they may be 128 and 30 characters respectively.
