To be able to create and or modify DB2 databases, you will need DB2 Administrator (sysadm) or Control (sysctrl) authority. For Windows, any account that is a member of the Administrators group may be used to sign onto DB2 with Administrator authority.
UDF Extensions (UDFx) is an Active-X component that implements Access (Visual Basic) built-in functions as DB2 user-defined functions. UDFx is setup automatically during Scriptoria installation. In a work group setting, each Windows server that contains DB2 databases that utilize the UDF extensions must have the UDFx runtime installed. DB2 databases on non-Windows platforms can only utilize the UDFx if an Object Request Broker that supports DCOM (or ActiveX) is installed.
